Transforming Practice Part 2 of 2

This subject will build on knowledge and skills acquired in Research in Applied Contexts and Transforming Practice Part 1. You will explore contemporary theories of knowledge translation and practice development.

There is a strong focus on the application of previously acquired knowledge and skills through the implementation of a project that will either investigate an aspect of clinical practice, or develop a practice development plan based on existing evidence.

As part 2 of the ‘Transforming Practice’ chained subjects, you will finish your evaluation of your project started in Transforming Practice Part 1.

Learning outcomes

Students who successfully complete this subject will be able to:

  • Synthesise previously acquired knowledge and skills to develop, implement and evaluate a workplace project
  • Establish collaborative relationships to ensure the success of a workplace project
  • Reflect on the process of contributing to the development of knowledge and its translation into practice.

Assessment

Assessment for this course will occur at various times across the seven-week study period. Tasks may include online quizzes, discussion board activities, portfolio development, case studies, reflection, literature reviews, presentations and reports. Feedback will be provided to you throughout the study period as well as a final grade at the conclusion of the study period.

This subject is part of both the Leadership and Management major and Nurse Education major in the online Master of Nursing.
