Health professionals require advanced skills to critique literature and synthesise best available evidence to inform practice. In this subject, students will navigate steps to synthesise high-quality evidence to address questions arising from clinical scenarios. Students will locate and critically appraise primary research, synthesise information and discuss findings with consideration of the strength of evidence.

- Differentiate between research paradigms and methodologies to address healthcare questions and advance practice
- Critically appraise primary research reports
- Synthesise and discuss appraised literature to inform practice and research recommendations
