Gain immediately usable tools for any problem-solving situation in a team environment. You will focus on core consulting ‘TAP’ training skills (teamwork, analysis, and presentations) as well as examine the ‘TEAM FOCUS’ framework, which covers the following aspects of team problem solving – Talk, Evaluate, Assist, Motivate, Frame, Organise, Collect, Understand and Synthesise. You will also cover a few of the most critical, high-level functional frameworks used by the world’s top consulting firms.
Upon completing this subject, you will be able to:
- Facilitate team problem-solving techniques using a variety of tools
- Understand the functional frameworks used by top firms
Assessment for this course will occur at various times across the seven-week study period. Tasks may include online quizzes, discussion board activity, portfolio development, case studies, reflection, literature reviews presentations and reports. Feedback will be provided to you throughout the study period as well as a final grade at the conclusion of the study period.
